SPAE contributes articles for the PA Times. The articles cover teaching-related topics such as collaboration, empathy, and ethics. We sought out articles from our Section members and attempted to create a diversity of voices in our authors. Recent articles by our section members on teaching include
- Facilitating Empathy and Ethics in Public Administration Praxis and Pedagogy by Karen D. Sweeting, Ph.D. (preferred pronouns she/her/hers) is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Rhode Island.
- Achieving More Together by Lois M. Warner, Ph.D., Assistant Teaching Professor, School of Public Affairs and Administration, Rutgers University.
- Wicked Elephants in the Classroom by Tosha Cantrell-Bruce, Ph.D., has taught public and nonprofit administration for 13 years. She currently builds courses and teaches online for several universities each semester.
We will continue to publish 3-4 PA Times articles related to teaching public administration or nonprofit management. We have several articles in the works, but if anyone would like to be involved in this process or has ideas for a PA Times article, please contact Gregg.Buckingham@ucf.edu
